The Association of Organic Food Producers (Assoziation ökologischer
Lebensmittelhersteller - AoeL) is a coming together from
within the food industry of processing companies that produce
organic food.
The Association has members in Germany and across Europe
. Its aim is to pool the interests of these members and to
represent them in dealings with other organisations and on
the political stage.
AoeL members exchange a great deal of information between
each other and seek to create common processes for shaping
public opinion.

The Assoziation ökologischer Lebensmittelhersteller e. V. (AoeL) (Association of Organic Food Producers) is publishing its 2nd progress report on the situation of manufacturers of ecological food products.
In 2004 the market for ecological food products successfully developed further. The eco industry has managed have a lasting effect on shaping the future of society with its concept of an ecological food products economy.
And the growing demand for eco products has shown that society is following the suggested lasting concept for an ecological food products economy. This is a positive sign.

The Association of Organic Food Producers (Assoziation ökologischer Lebensmittelhersteller (AoeL)) welcomes the Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming presented by the Commission!
The aim of this commentary is to appraise the action plan critically and to formulate additional proposals for rendering the measures more concretely from the perspective of organic food processors.
